Today, August 31, 2024, at 10:30 a.m., I held Ivana's summer workshop as part of DugaveFest and I can say that it exceeded all my expectations. The boat and magnet making workshop was extremely well attended, and more than twenty children participated in it, which created a very dynamic atmosphere. There was a lot of laughter and shouts: "aunt, aunt!" Everyone had something to ask, both children and adults.
A creative morning full of inspiration
The participants had the opportunity to choose boats and shells, fish, starfish,... which they will paint. They breathed life into the selected characters with acrylic paints. There was no shortage of brushes or paints. It seems to me that gold, pink and green were the most sought after. The most persistent ones also learned something about the napkin technique, so they decorated their magnets and boats with some different motifs. The children let their imaginations run wild, which resulted in the creation of real works of art. Each participant brought his own unique style and ideas, which contributed to the diversity and richness of the workshop.
Togetherness and teamwork
The workshop was not only an opportunity for individual expression, but also for building friendships and team spirit. Some have known each other from kindergarten and school, some have brought their younger brothers and sisters. Everyone shared paints, pots, helped each other and created beautiful pieces of art together. Such moments of togetherness contributed to the creation of a positive and supportive atmosphere, which encouraged each participant to do his best. I believe that the thermoses with chilled elderberry juice and orange juice made their contribution 😉
Original works as a souvenir of the workshop
At the end of the workshop, I managed to photograph only some of the works. Some were surprised that they could take them home. Some hurried to show their works to their parents, who were hanging out at nearby benches or cafes. Everyone was impressed by the uniqueness and quality of each piece. It would be nice if we organized some kind of exhibition at the end to celebrate the efforts and talent of each participant. This is an idea for the future. Thanks and a look towards the future
I would like to thank everyone who participated and supported my Ivana's summer workshop. I am looking forward to future events and hope to bring together so many enthusiastic and talented young artists again.
I would also like to thank everyone who participated in the humanitarian raffle. We collected €40, which I will pay to the Mali Zmaj association, because you decided so with your vote. https://www.cinipravustvar.hr/izazovi/pomozi-sportasima-malog-zmaja-da-se-vinu-u-visine/561
